Who will process your Bhutan Visa?
Visa for all the tourists visiting Bhutan will be processed by respective tour operators with whom you have decided to book your Bhutan tour. You must check your tour operators’ registration with tourism council of Bhutan’s website; www.tourism.gov.bt whether they are registered tour operator or not. Can I process my Bhutan visa from any foreign embassy offices?
No, you cannot process your tourist visa to Bhutan from any other sources. Only the Licensed tour operators in Bhutan can process your visa.
Can I process Visa on arrival in Bhutan?
No. You must process your Bhutan visa prior to your arrival in Bhutan.
What documents are required to process Bhutan visa?
You need to mail a scanned copy of your passport photo page to your Tour Operator with whom you have decided to book your Bhutan holiday.
Your passport must have a validity of 6 month or more from your intended tour end date.
What are the procedures to process Bhutan visa?
To process Bhutan visa, you must wire transfer your entire holiday payments along with visa fee of US $40 per person to Tourism Council of Bhutan’s account (Bank details will be provided by your respective tour operators). Once you have mailed your passport copy and the payment has been deposited, your tour operator will apply for visa through an online system to Tourism Council of Bhutan and within three working days your visa will be approved. Once approved, tour operators will mail you the copy of your visa clearance letter and on producing this visa clearance letter at the port of entry, your actual visa will be stamped on your passport.
Your tour operator will get access to the money only after you have completed your Bhutan holiday and have left Bhutan.
